Chinanews.com Changzhou, July 21 (Reporters: Zhao Wengang, Gu Hua) A robotic "dexterous hand" writes the Chinese characters “Innovation” with a writing brush in ten seconds, steadily lifts a teapot to pour water, and skillfully switches test tubes and measuring beakers to carry out experiments… On the 20th, reporters from the Jiangsu interview group of the 2026 “Dynamic China Investigation Tour” visited Jiangsu Leili Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jiangsu Leili), and were deeply attracted by the robotic "dexterous hands" displayed in the exhibition hall.

Jiangsu Leili is a widely influential enterprise engaged in the R&D, design and manufacturing of micro and special motors. Adhering to its strategic positioning as an “expert in motor drive system solutions”, while consolidating its advantages in traditional fields such as home appliances and automobiles, the company has launched full-industry-chain integrated hardware and software solutions for embodied intelligence.

Why has Jiangsu Leili, whose core business is motors, stepped into the embodied intelligence track? The answer lies in the robots’ "joints" and "fingertips".

To achieve human-like flexible movement, robots require dozens of precision "joints" and a pair of "dexterous hands". Among them, the core motion control component is exactly Jiangsu Leili’s signature product — motors.

“Based on micro & special motors and miniature motion control systems, the company keeps advancing miniaturization, intelligence and integration upgrades,” said Su Da, General Manager of Jiangsu Leili. Within the embodied intelligence industrial chain, the company has built a complete layout covering “core components – motion control modules – intelligent control – motion platforms”. It builds a synergistic industrial ecosystem relying on its holding subsidiaries including Dinztek and Zhongke Lingxi.

“Leveraging research outcomes from the University of Science and Technology of China, Zhongke Lingxi develops dexterous hands with three technical routes: linkage-driven, tendon-driven and direct-drive. It cuts costs by using self-developed components,” introduced Wang Wenwei, General Manager of Zhongke Lingxi. From automatic coconut husking and coconut water extraction, pancake robot projects, piano playing, to motor winding on production lines… the "dexterous hands" have been verified in more than ten practical application scenarios.

If dexterous hands represent the delicate operations of embodied intelligence, then Jiangsu Leili, with a development history of over 30 years, vividly reflects the growth path of private manufacturing enterprises in China. At present, Jiangsu Leili has grown into a world-renowned motor manufacturer, with overseas production bases established in Vietnam, Mexico, Malaysia and Thailand.

Looking ahead, rooted in its core micro & special motor technologies, Jiangsu Leili will further expand its full-chain solution layout in embodied intelligence, and advance its strategic upgrading within the global intelligent manufacturing and robotics industry. (End)
