The Compulsory Education Information Technology Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition) clearly stipulates that the information technology curriculum shall be fully covered in the compulsory education stage, and establishes six logical threads: data, algorithms, networks, information processing, information security and artificial intelligence.

The Ministry of Education and six other departments have issued the Opinions on Strengthening Science and Technology Education in Primary and Secondary Schools. It requires that a science and technology education system for primary and secondary schools be basically established by 2030, promoting the shift from "paper-and-pencil cramming" to "solving real-world scientific and engineering problems", and launching the "Little Engineer" Program.

The Guidelines for General AI Education in Primary and Secondary Schools (2025 Edition) proposes building an AI literacy education system covering all school stages, encouraging universities and high-tech enterprises to open their AI laboratories and cutting-edge resources to primary and secondary schools, and fostering a new ecosystem of collaborative education.
