When Dexterous Hands Meet International Museum Day: Zhongke Lingxi Interprets Crossover Practice with Its Fingertip Skills
Release Time:2026-05-22 Source:Mindsync Tech View:410

When dexterous hands play the piano and play rock-paper-scissors at the WorldSkills Museum in Shanghai, few know — their real workplace lies in chemical plants and motor production lines.

The 50th International Museum Day arrived as scheduled, with the 2026 theme "Museums: Bridges Connecting the World". At the themed event "Skills Connect the World, Craftsmanship for a Better Future" held at the WorldSkills Museum in Shanghai, Zhongke Lingxi’s humanoid robot and dexterous hands stole the show. Far more than a simple performance, it presented industrial-grade precision technology as tangible, impressive technical capabilities accessible to the public.

Piano Performance

Precise Fingertip Control, Perfect Rhythm

Inside the WorldSkills Museum, skills are not limited to keyboard operation and handcrafting. Zhongke Lingxi’s linkage dexterous hand lands gently on piano keys, delivering smooth melodies with precise keystrokes. This steady performance is backed by solid technical parameters:

| Fingertip joint speed: 360°/s, comparable to the fast flexion and extension of human fingers

| Force control resolution: as low as 0.1N, sensitive enough to detect the faint weight of roughly half an A4 sheet of paper

| Repositioning accuracy: ±3mm, enabling stable grasping of tiny parts as small as 5mm

In industrial scenarios, these specifications form the fundamental capabilities for precision assembly and flexible gripping.

Rock-Paper-Scissors Game

One Step Ahead with Motion Prediction

The rock-paper-scissors interaction between the dexterous hand and visitors looks lighthearted, yet it relies on advanced technology. High-speed cameras capture hand movements in real time, and the deep learning model predicts gesture intentions within 0.1 seconds, switching between different gestures at millisecond speed.

On industrial sites, this capability translates to adaptability in dynamic environments — it responds quickly when handling flexible assembly and irregular workpieces.

Real Industrial Work

From Museum Showcase to Factory Floor

Many visitors at the site did not realize that this hand is built for far more than "performances". Its true identity is a reliable worker on industrial frontlines. Zhongke Lingxi dexterous hands have been deployed in real working scenarios as follows:

| Jiangsu Leili Lu'an Factory: Completes grabbing, tube arranging and bundling within 9 seconds; two units can replace one skilled worker.

| An electronics factory in Dongguan: Detects corrugated pipe defects via vision system to replace manual inspection, lifting efficiency by over 30%.

| A power distribution room in Changzhou: Executes switching operations to eliminate electric shock risks and support unattended operation.

| High-risk chemical zone of a China National Chemical Corporation plant: Sampling hydrogen fluoride, running stably for more than 1 year with a success rate above 99%.

"We hope that through this Museum Day event, people can see that this hand can not only play the piano and play rock-paper-scissors, but also work on factory floors," said the on-site representative of Zhongke Lingxi. "The difference between a skill and a capability is that the former brings wonderful stage performances, while the latter delivers the confidence to solve real-world problems."

With this demonstration, Zhongke Lingxi bridges industrial technology and public understanding, echoing this year’s International Museum Day theme "Bridges Connecting the World". Moving forward, positioned as a reliable technical partner for practical industrial work, Zhongke Lingxi will deploy dexterous hands into more hazardous industrial environments, freeing workers from high-risk and high-intensity jobs. Empowered by embodied intelligence, industries will achieve upgrading, enabling technology to serve humanity and connect the digital and physical worlds.
